Terms of Service
Last updated: June 12, 2026
These terms are the deal between you and Daily Heist (“we”, “us”, “the service”) at playdailyheist.com. By playing, creating an account, or subscribing, you agree to them. The short version: play fair, the daily vault is free, subscriptions renew until you cancel, and don't ruin the game for everyone else.
1. The game
The daily vault is free to play, without an account, forever — that's a founding rule. We may change, add, or retire other features (including paid ones) as the service evolves.
2. Accounts
An account needs a working email address, and you're responsible for what happens under it. One account per person. You can stop using the service at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account and its data (see the privacy policy).
3. Crew membership and billing
Crew is an optional paid subscription, billed monthly or yearly through our payment processor. It renews automatically until you cancel, which you can do anytime in the billing portal (Account → Manage subscription); you keep Crew until the end of the period you paid for. Where the yearly plan includes a free trial, you can cancel during the trial and pay nothing.
Except where the law gives you a non-waivable right to one, fees already paid are non-refundable — but if something went wrong, contact us and we'll be reasonable. Prices may change; we'll notify subscribers before a change affects an upcoming renewal.
4. Fair play
You agree not to:
- use bots, scripts, solvers, or automation to play or to probe the API;
- circumvent guess limits, paywalls, rate limits, or other technical controls;
- scrape the service or resell access to any part of it;
- spoil unfinished vaults for other players, or harass them anywhere in the service.
Leaderboards are only fun if they're honest. We may reset results obtained by cheating.
5. Your content
Names you give things (like syndicates) are visible to other players: keep them lawful and non-hateful, don't impersonate anyone, and don't use them to advertise. You give us the permission needed to display that content inside the service, and we may rename or remove content that breaks these rules.
6. Our stuff
The puzzles, design, names, and code of Daily Heist belong to us or our licensors. Sharing your results (including the emoji grids) is encouraged; copying the service is not.
7. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms — for serious or repeated abuse, without refund of the current period where the law allows. You may close your account at any time; if you're a subscriber, cancel first so you don't renew.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is”. We work hard to keep the vault opening every midnight UTC, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and a daily puzzle game is not the place for warranties of any kind beyond those the law requires.
9. Limits on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of US $10 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages — including, for the avoidance of doubt, lost streaks.
10. Changes
If these terms change materially, we'll update the date above and make reasonable efforts to notify account holders before the changes take effect. Playing after that means you accept the new terms.
